Overview: The Huehuetenango region lies in the northwest of Guatemala is surrounded by mountains and nourished by numerous rivers. The Mam people, descendents of the Maya, produce and process this coffee themselves. Once the coffee is collected from various small farms, it is processed at dry mills in Ixchel, where it remains in parchment until it is exported to Singapore.
